Summer has arrived in Bormio and brings with it many new things to discover.
On 4 July, the ski lifts will open in Bormio. The mountains will be a popular destination this summer and the resorts are preparing to secure all the services that have always attracted tourists. Choosing the mountains this summer means letting go of nature, experiencing open spaces and discovering unspoilt places.
Spending a summer holiday in a town like Bormio means, first of all, never being bored and relaxation is guaranteed. The climate, always mild, allows sports lovers to practice their favourite sport throughout the day. For nature lovers, there are many routes to take, including trekking and walking, exploring every corner of nature that Bormio has to offer.
Sport in summer
Bormio's summer is full of possible activities, including trekking, mountain biking and summer skiing. In fact, there are many routes to take on foot, divided by level, so that everyone can observe the wonderful scenery and views.
The classic valleys such as Val Zebrù, Val Cedéc and Val Viola are among the places to visit that can be reached on a hike. Within the Stelvio National Park, you can also choose from more than 600 different trails, each of which will give you great emotions thanks to the views.
By bike, you can reach many other destinations, such as the Cancano Lakes: after a beautiful climb made up of steep climbs and many hairpin bends, you will find yourself beneath the medieval Fraele Towers with a spectacular sight before your eyes, the majestic lakes. Once you reach the shores, you can relax in the picnic areas. Beautiful valleys to cross, lakes to relax in while enjoying a tasty picnic, waterfalls, hiking and much more.
If in winter skiing is the most popular sport, in summer cycling, in all its forms, reigns supreme. Bormio is full of Bike Parks, dedicated just to lovers of adrenaline on two wheels. In the special bike parks, it is possible to go wild thanks to the various routes prepared with obstacles and ramps, divided into levels according to the preparation of the bikers. Furthermore, for road cyclists, the Alpine passes are ideal, such as the Stelvio Pass, which is only open in summer.
Relaxation in summer
From sport we move on to relaxation. Bormio is a wellness paradise thanks to its thermal centres that allow you to relax your body and mind surrounded by nature.
The different thermal centres in Bormio are slowly reopening. Bormio Terme and the Bagni Vecchi are already open, ready to welcome relaxation lovers. The Bagni Nuovi, on the other hand, will open shortly.
Right in the centre, there is Bormio Terme, the thermal centre open to the whole family, where you can dedicate some time to yourself with massages and spa treatments.
